Imo 'Cultists' Attack Female Teacher With Machetes For Scolding JSS2 Student

25 suspected cult members who are students  of Alvan Ikoku College of Education and Imo state Polytechnic (Illustrative Purposes only)A female teacher at Obosima Secondary Technical School, Imo State, Mrs. Mary-Ann Oguezuonu, is in critical condition after suspected student cultists attacked her with machetes.
Student Pulse gathered that Oguezuonu, a nursing mother, was attacked after she reprimanding a female JSS 2 student who dressed indecently within the school premises.
Vanguard reports that  a male SSS 1 student jumped into the classroom and rudely confronted the teacher over the matter.
“The male student, who was not satisfied with the verbal insults he heaped on the teacher, went further to grab Mrs. Oguezuonu’s blouse,” a student said.
Other teachers intervened in the matter and has the offending male student corporally punished in the staff room.
The student, suspected to be a cultist, summoned his supposed members who attacked the school with machetes.
According to a teacher quoted in the report, the suspected cultists attacked Oguezuonu while she cuddled her baby.
"“While still cuddling her five-month old baby in the staff room, the irate male student mobilized others, suspected to be fellow cult members
“They came into the staff room, armed with cutlasses and attacked the teacher," the teacher said.
Oguezuonu suffered life threatening cuts in the attack and doctors are battling to save her life.
A relation of the victim said the police have already made arrests in connection with the attack but the main suspect, a certain Chimaobi Precious Agu, is reportedly still on the run.
