The incredible rumour that Arsenal could make a last ditch bid for Colombian hitman Radamel Falcao is gaining traction with the BBC the latest news service to throw their weight behind the idea that a crucial missing piece in the Arsenal jigsaw puzzle could well be filled by the South American superstar.
While Arsene Wenger has been busy singing the praises of the forwards that he has in his squad, none of them are proven central strikers and it is no secret that Arsenal would flourish with a player of Falcao's quality leading their frontline.
The BBC reported today that the Gunners are in talks with Monaco over the prospect of taking Falcao on loan, however, rumour has it that the Colombian will not come cheap with talk of a 20 million euro bid doing the rounds.
Real Madrid and Juventus are the other two clubs still linked with Falcao, and it is being reported that the Los Blancos are ready to pay 20 million euros to take the Colombian striker on loan for the season thus forcing Arsenal to each match that fee to give Falcao an option, or bow out of the race gracefully.
